Limited Edition Poster Goes Wide for Beautiful Children Paperback

Remember last summer, when we told you how Charles Bock had recruited graphic artist Chuck Sperry to create a poster for his Central Park Summerstage reading with Richard Price? Well, we’ve seen the new cover art for the paperback edition of Bock’s Beautiful Children, and it puts that poster art front and center…

Astute readers who’ve already had a go at the hardcover will note that certain details in the cover art are slight spoilers, but not in such a way as to ruin it for newcomers. And all that blank space on the far left? That’s where the blurbs are going.

Bock may have new Sperry posters based on this cover to give away when he reads from the book at McNally Jackson later this month (and at other bookstores across America after that), possibly even copies of an original comic book he’s writing for Sperry to illustrate. But he’s definitely planning on having prints of an entirely different poster from Guy Burwell.
