Mickey Hess Promises to Blurb Any Book in 24 Hours

mickeyhess.jpgYesterday author Mickey Hess pledged to blurb any book in 24 hours or less. Hess (pictured) promises to blurb any and all books submitted to him. Some of his blurbs so far include:

Tao Lin‘s Bed: “Tao Lin emerges as a melancholic ghost in a cheerful century. What? In the here and now, Bed is a contrast between chaos and disillusionment, between disenchantment and the desire to imagine heaven.”

Hillary Frank‘s I Can’t Tell You: “Humans have dedicated themselves to creating novels. Hillary Frank is one of these human novelists.”

Wred Fright‘s The Pornographic, Flabbergasted Emus: “Brilliantly, it is possible to watch the book in the process of revising itself to death.”

Garrett County Press published Hess’ book, Big Wheel at the Cracker Factory: Hip Hop in America: A Regional Guide, Icons of Hip Hop, and Is Hip Hop Dead? in 2008. He just completed a new novel entitled The Nostalgia Echo, but hasn’t found a publisher. At The Rumpus, he had this statement about his marathon blurbing project: “There are plenty more [blurbs] where those came from, trust me! Authors, contact me today at mickeyhess [at] gmail [dot]com and LET’S GET BLURBING!!!”
