More Book Reviews at Post, Not Less?

Late Monday afternoon, the Daily Intelligencer blog at New York ran with a tip that NY Post editors had “decided to stop running book reviews,” certain aspects of which Sarah has already debunked. Now the publishing industry gossip blog Slunch is telling exactly the opposite story, claiming the Post will run more reviews as part of a Sunday magazine section launching later this month. And, as opposed to the vagueness of the DI piece, Slunch comes right out and names Abby Wisse Schachter as the editor in charge of the new section.

Who to believe? When we’re all awake in the morning, Sarah or I will have to give Ms. Schacter a call and see what she says! UPDATE: Sarah was thinking even further ahead, and sent Ms. Schacter an email late last night, to which she replied, “The item from slunch is correct in all its details.”
