Richard & Judy’s Book Club recognized only one American title in their list of eight page-turners, The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha. It is one of two debut novels on the television hosts’ list.

Rakha won the 2010 Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, and will be interviewed on the club website. The Crying Tree has been re-outfitted with a new cover in light of the book club. The book trailer is embedded above.

Richard & Judy’s Book Club has often been called the UK equivalent to Oprah’s Book Club. Since its 2004 founding, the club’s titles have sold more than 10 million copies.
