Last week, St. Martin's Press was saying it had no plans to reprint its paperback edition of The Apprentice, the novel by former vice-presidential chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, even though Libby's indictment by federal prosecutors had revived interest in the book and its smutty sex scenes. Then they found out how much copies were going for on the Internet, so now it'll be back in stores by Thanksgiving weekend. PW Daily reports a print run of 25,000 copies scheduled to ship on Nov. 18. Maybe this'll convince Penguin to finally roll Lynn Cheney's sapphic frontier saga Sisters back onto bookshelves...
