Promotions for Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division Marketing Team

Publisher Jon Anderson announced several promotions at Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division yesterday.

Lucille Rettino will serve as vice president and director of marketing. Matt Pantoliano has been named senior digital marketing manager. Both Elke Villa and Julie Christopher were promoted to associate director of marketing.

Chrissy Noh is now a senior marketing manager. Carolyn Swerdloff will work as the marketing manager. Sooji Kim joins the team as digital marketing coordinator.

Here’s more from Anderson’s memo: “With the dramatic changes taking place across our industry, it is clear that the ways in which consumers learn of our books has taken on an importance that could not have been imagined just a few years ago. Social media, blogging, digital communities, direct-to-consumer outreach, all of these tools have transformed what book marketing can be. In order to take full advantage of the opportunities before us, it is vital that we both increase our marketing resources and focus them according to the various categories within which we publish.”
