It was just pointed out to me, although it's probably just sheer coincidence, that tonight's National Book Award ceremony will be the second consecutive one where everybody's bound to be talking about Judith Regan, as the story of her involvement in the original plans to publish If I Did It broke just hours before that year's awards dinner (which is where the photo at left comes from, actually). We'll see if there's any good gossip about the lawsuit tonight. (Liveblogging the ceremony itself was briefly considered, then dismissed as a meaningless stunt, especially given that most of you are morning readers anyway.)
