Paul Crichton Lands on His FeetBook Standard reporter Anna Weinberg tracks down Paul Crichton—the former head of ReganMedia publicity who inadvertently started a pissing match between New York's tabloid gossips when he abruptly resigned last month—at his new job promoting books for Simon Spotlight. Since Crichton's the kind of guy who, when he signs a non-disclosure agreement upon leaving a job, actually lives up to it, so that you don't have to file cease-and-desist orders against him the way you might certain publishers we could name, there's not much about his departure in the story, but apparently he's happy filling in for the usual SSE publicity director, who's out on maternity leave. Meanwhile, here's a sign of a much healthier publishing industry relationship than the one Crichton just left behind: PW Daily notes children's book editor Michael di Capua's move to Scholastic, framing it largely as a reunion with Scholastic exec Lisa Holton, with whom he's also worked at HarperCollins and Hyperion over the last decade and a half.
