Scene @ Every Crooked Pot Launch Party

When I met Renee Rosen (right) at Karen Abbott‘s sexy book party a couple weeks ago, she promised that she’d send me some photos from last month’s party in Chicago celebrating the publication of her debut novel, Every Crooked Pot. It took a while, but here she is enjoying the evening with Abbott and Sara Gruen; the festivities never got quite as outrageous as they did when the three of them came to New York for Abbott’s bash—no burlesque dancers, for one thing—but Rosen did squeeze about 200 partygoers into the Rosenthal Fine Art Gallery for the event, including local authors Laura Caldwell, Marcus Sakey, J.A. Konrath and Darwyn Jones (as well as a visiting Tasha Alexander).
