The Double Seven bar in the meatpacking district was where Edmund White, Alexandra Styron, Steven Johnson, Karen Duffy, and Algonquin Books hosted a party for Mark Bailey and Eddie Hemingway (left) and their delightful pictorial guide to literary writers and their favorite alcoholic beverages. Among those sipping Mojitos & Tom Collins on this extremely rainy night were Algonquin publisher Elisabeth Scharlatt and editor Antonia Fusco, agent David Kuhn, NY Post film critic Kyle Smith, and Penguin Young Readers Group Assistant Editorial Director Susan Kochan (on hand with assistant editor Nicole Kasprak to cheer Hemingway, whose picture book they plan to publish next year).
