Scene @ Redemption Song Reading

Back on June 11, former New Music Express features writer Chris Salewicz (right) held a reading for Redemption Song, his biography of Clash frontman Joe Strummer, at the East Village’s Niagara, which has a mural of Strummer on its outside wall. That’s where David Sine snapped this photo of Salewicz with rock’n'roll photographer Bob Gruen; inside, Salewicz’s reading was recorded by Punkcast, which has links to streaming video and YouTube clips from the event.
