Upcoming Literary Adaptations for Summer

Sunny weather isn’t the only thing to look forward to this summer–Hollywood has lots of new literary movies scheduled. Here is a round-up of five upcoming literary movies.

X-Men: First Class provides the back story on how Charles and Erik because Professor X and Magneto. It arrives in theaters on June 3rd.

Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer stars Jordana Beatty in the lead role of Judy Moody. The movie comes out on June 10th.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins Trailer Released

Fox has released the official trailer for the film adaptation of Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Above, we’ve embedded the full-length trailer.

What do you think? As we previously noted, the film stars Jim Carrey and is directed by Mark Waters. It will hit theaters on June 17th.

Some parts of the film were shot inside New York City’s historic Flatiron Building, home to several Macmillan offices.  (via Shelf Awareness)
