Brenda Janowitz was “absolutely thrilled” when a friend told her that her debut novel, Scot on the Rocks, had landed on an Entertainment Weekly top ten list—until she got a copy of the issue, flipped to the book section, and realized that her trade paperback original chick lit novel had suddenly been transformed into a hardcover mystery…or, rather, confused with Mary Daheim‘s Scots on the Rocks, the 23rd in a series of amateur sleuth stories starring a bed-and-breakfast owner.

“Luckily, I have a really good sense of humor!” Janowitz emails—and the distraction of having to finish the rewrites on her second novel in less than a month are no doubt keeping her from brooding, as well!
