As a promotional video, this short film about Evelyn Nesbit, the subject of Paula Uruburu‘s biography, American Eve, is a textbook example of the “stock photography and title cards over easy-listening music” technique that drives me nuts. But in the context of yesterday’s post about ordinary readers sharing their thoughts on YouTube, it’s worth noting that a Nesbit fan named “gingerdots” created this video herself—with no input from Uruburu, who tells me she’s never had any contact with the two-minute film’s creator.
