Tim Tebow Scores Book Deal for ‘Inspirational Memoir’
College football star and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will write his “inspirational memoir” for HarperCollins. Through My Eyes is set for April 2011 publication.
Tebow (pictured) has been writing for his Twitter page, earning more than 53,000 fans. The book was acquired by Lisa Sharkey and senior editor Matt Harper will edit the memoir. It will be co-written with Nathan Whitaker. The deal was arranged by a team of representatives: Robby Tebow and Angel Gonzalez of XV Enterprises, Greg Suess of Roar, and Matt Johnson and Wendy Kirk of Ziffren Brittenham LLP.
Here’s more about the book, from the release: “Tebow, the son of Christian missionaries, has a unique story to tell. From the circumstances of his birth, to his home-schooled roots, to his record-setting career as the most celebrated football player in Florida Gators history and his first round draft selection by the Denver Broncos, there’s been a lot said about Tim Tebow. Now he will have the chance to inspire readers with his own, first-hand account of his personal story.”
Correction: The original version of this post misstated the person who acquired the memoir.
