Two More Guys and You’ve Got the Village People

Remember that trailer for Letters to eBay I wrote about last month? Author Paul Meadors (far left) sent me pictures of the reading he did for the book at a Borders in Fresno, California… with a little help from his friends, who got into character as some of the wacky personae he adopted to enquire about various items for sale at the online auction site. “There’s nothing more socially awkward than a mime so, naturally, I had to have one in my event,” Meador explains. “The rodeo cowboy read the letter where I asked a seller of an ‘I Love You Locket’ which tool would do the most damage to it: a pick ax, crowbar, or sledgehammer… [And] as in my book trailer, the catcher asked if the Bill Dickey catcher’s mitt would be suitable to catch my newly-birthed child, Little Willy.”
