We Could Make a Lot of Stuff Before the Sun Goes Down

We have to admit that local comedian Maura Madden‘s official “book trailer” for Crafternoon, a handbook for throwing arts’n'crafts parties throughout the calendar year, has a fun look-and-feel to it—two of them, really, because there’s an abrupt shift in tone at the one-minute mark. But when we were visiting the YouTube yesterday afternoon, we couldn’t help noticing another, shorter film that does a somewhat better job of capturing the playful atmosphere of those parties… If only she’d had a copy of the book to hold up for this one!

Of course, our prejudice for how-to videos has been documented. (By the way, did you know that Google only turns up 118 results for “crafternoon delight”? Doesn’t this seem wrong somehow? Clearly, Ms. Madden needs to begin work on a sequel.)
