WeArePotter Hashtag Helps Harry Potter Top Twitter

Harry Potter fans took over Twitter this morning, tweeting the reasons they loved the boy wizard with the hashtag “We Are Potter.”

Harry Potter Secrets (pictured, via) summed up the movement: “Yes, WeArePotter. We grow up with the trio, live through the Potter’s Decade, and we call ourselves POTTERHEADS … We Are The Harry Potter Generation. Proud. Forever. Always.”

A number of Potter-themed feeds joined the event. Harry’s nemesis, Lord_Voldemort, got involved: “WearePotter is trending. Great, I guess that means I have to kill you all. There goes my plans for the day.”

Wizard professor Severus Snape tweeted: “I see Potter’s publicist got his paycheck. Taking points off Gryffindor for trending #WeArePotter seems rather moot; they’re already in 4th.”
