Eighty-five years ago Simon & Schuster launched its publishing company with a book of crossword puzzles. Today they offer a 21st Century update on the publisher's first product: 365 Crosswords, a download-able bundle of crosswords for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The years supply of puzzles was edited by John M. Samson, founding editor of Simon & Schuster Mega Crossword Puzzle Book. The application, available in Apple's App Store, sells for $4.99.

Users can solve puzzles in 'pen' or 'pencil' mode, and check or reveal answers by letter, word, or entire grid segments."
