Whither the Robert Altman Memoir?

As the news of acclaimed director Robert Altman’s death spread across the mediasphere, I wondered: What does this do to the book deal he made with Twelve last month? Twelve publicity director Cary Goldstein said it was too soon to say anything about the fate of the project, as Twelve staffers were still processing the news. I know I for one would love to read Altman’s insider reflections on filmmaking; eventually we’ll discover whether how much of a manuscript he had completed before his untimely death.
