Last week, Apple had two major announcements: that they will now sell movies from major studios such as Warner, Fox, Paramount, Universal, and others the same day the DVDs become available, and that Apple TV owners can now buy movies directly from their living room couches instead of having to walk over to their computers.

But Macworld noticed one other milestone—that Apple finally has 1,000 movies for rent in the iTunes Store, 63 days after the company originally promised that many to be available. Hey, better late than never, we guess.
