FusionOne Gets $6m in Funding
FusionOne, a decade-old company that now provides content backup services for mobile devices, raised $6 million in first-round venture financing, according to mocoNews.
The company shifted from a synchronization technology platform to its current automatic mobile backup services offering in 2004. It provides the service on a white-label basis to carriers such as Verizon Wireless, which markets it as the Verizon Backup Assistant, the posting says.
El Dorado Ventures, Nokia Ventures and Vesbridge Partners all contributed to the round.
