Mobile game publisher Glu Mobile has made a $36 million offer for rival Superscape. Superscape was one of the first to bring 3-D games to mobiles, while Glu quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the major mobile game makers in the US with 2-D games based on licensed brands, the AP reports.

Superscape is based in the UK and has its US headquarters in San Clemente, California. Its 3-D games include Paintball Challenge and Classic Mini Golf, which are offered through Verizon Wireless in the US. Glu Mobile is behind such games as the mobile versions of Age of Empires and Monopoly.
