iTunes Store Now Second Largest Music Retailer
Engadget reports that the iTunes Store has bypassed Best Buy for the number two spot on the list of top music retailers in the United States. In other words, only Wal-Mart sells more music in this country. Some more facts from the article: - Apple says 50 million customers have now bought over 4 billion songs. - The company sold 20 million tracks on Christmas Day 2007 alone. This announcement comes eight months after Apple said the iTunes Store took the number three spot from Amazon back in June. Now we're just waiting for DRM-free iTunes Plus tracks to become available for all major labels in the iTunes Store, not just EMI. Email This Post |
