The New York Times had a report on Monday detailing the variety of mobile broadcast TV services in Europe and the US. According to the piece, Switzerland has 40,000 mobile news viewers, subscribers in Italy pay nearly $30 a month for a dozen channels and France and Germany will both have services up-and-running this year.

Sunday marked the launch of AT&T's long-awaited mobile TV service that runs on Qualcomm's MediaFLO network. Verizon Wireless has had its FLO-based service operational for over a year, but, the Times says, is reported to have signed up less than 100,000 paying subscribers.
