AOL today announced that breaking news content from TMZ.com is now available through the company's mobile portal, http://www.aol.com.

According to a company statement, the mobile portal will offer TMZ photo and video galleries, free news alerts, and advance previews of stories that will air on the TMZ daily TV show. Meanwhile, TMZ news content on the AOL mobile portal will be offered on a free, ad-supported basis, "with WAP banner inventory managed by the Platform-A sales force and served by its Third Screen Media mobile ad serving platform and network."

TMZ on the desktop nets close to 11 million unique users per month, according to a recent comScore Media Matrix report. Non-AOL mobile portal users can also hit TMZ.com using their cell phone's mobile Web browser.
