Vodafone Launches MusicStation in U.K.Vodafone Group launched its mobile music service in Britain on Thursday to allow users to download and share unlimited tracks, one week before the long-awaited U.K. iPhone debut from Apple, according to CNET News. The service will give consumers access to over one million songs for the equivalent of $4.13 per week. "On a very wide range of handsets, U.K. consumers now have the freedom to download, share, and play unlimited amounts of music, direct to their phone, whenever they want," Omnifone CEO Rob Lewis said in a statement relayed in the report. Unlike with other subscription music services, Vodafone users can keep their music when they switch handsets, but they'll still lose it if they jump to another cell phone carrier.
