AOL Adds Another iPhone Search Tool to the Mix

As if there weren't already enough iPhone-optimized search engines floating around, AOL has joined the fray. The erstwhile ISP has unveiled AOL Mobile Search for iPhone, which is optimized for Apple's mobile Safari Web browser.

Unfortunately for AOL, search leaders Google and Yahoo, heck, even Ask.com, have had their own iPhone-optimized mobile search services on the market for a while now, according to BetaNews.

AOL Mobile Search for iPhone is now in public beta. Oh well, at least it beat those 100,000+ developers who downloaded the iPhone SDK to the punch.
