Vivendi has put a new twist on the concept of entertainment portals with Zaoza, which was officially unveiled today and will actually go live next month in the company's native France.

MocoNews reports that the Zaoza monthly subscription fee of three euros ($4.42) gets users unlimited access to download music, videos, games and other content for both their PC and mobile phone. It also has a social networking aspect - subscribers can share what they’ve downloaded with up to five friends.

Plans include launching the service in Germany over the summer and going live in the UK by year-end, the article says. With content partners like its recently acquired Activision and Blizzard as well as Sony BMG, Eidos and THQ, Vivendi expects to sign up half-a-million users and several more content partners before the year is over.
