Wenner Books editor-in-chief Bob Wallace left the publisher on Friday. Wenner spokesperson Nora Haynes told mediabistro.com that Wallace is leaving to "pursue other opportunities" and added that his "departure was amicable."
Haynes denied rumors from several sources that Wenner Books was folding. "Wenner Books is alive and well and will be for a long time to come. We have a full catalog for 2006 and are already planning titles for 2007." Wenner Books will specialize in titles from Us Weekly, Rolling Stone, and Men's Journal, Haynes added.
And who is running Wenner Books right now? "It is still being decided," Haynes said.
