Times Publishes Massive Judy-Culpa (NYT)
The paper of record set the record straight in a 5,900-word article for Sunday editions about reporter Judith Miller's involvement in the Valerie Plame leak investigation. Asked what she regretted about the paper's handling of the matter, Jill Abramson, a managing editor, said: "The entire thing." Miller admitted that her WMD reporting was "totally wrong." NYT: Miller recounts her grand jury testimony and the events leading up to the Plame leak. NYT: Plamegate timeline. E&P: Article is "devastating," writes Greg Mitchell.
'Indefinite Leave of Absence' (Raw Story)
Judith Miller will reportedly take an indefinite leave of absence from the New York Times effective immediately. Two reporters inside the newsroom say they have heard Miller will resign from the paper.

Bloggers React:
Who Told Judy About Valerie Plame? (Huffington Post)
Arianna Huffington: Miller not remembering is as believable as Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein not recalling who Deep Throat was.
'A Low-Comedy Conclusion to a Low-Comedy Investigation' (Power Line)
John Hinderaker: Miller's account is interesting, but it falls short of explaining what all the fuss was about.
Nothing New (Washington Monthly)
Kevin Drum: There's some dissing of Miller and some description of internal dissention at the Times, but nothing we haven't heard before.
'A Very Difficult Piece of Journalism' (PressThink)
Jay Rosen: Claiming memory loss about the most important fact in the story is weak. Miller actually subtracts from public knowledge in this part, which is a feat.
Fog and Shadows (The Left Coaster)
Eriposte: The NYT editors and Miller made it clear that they are not going to clarify the truth and took the decision to continue to obfuscate.
