Has Obama 'Frozen Out' Fox News? (WaPo's Sleuth)
These are chilly days on the campaign trail for Fox News journalists at least when they're anywhere near Sen. Barack Obama. Tribune Buyout Offer Expected to Expire (Newsday)
A buyout offer for Tribune Co. from its largest shareholder, the Chandler family of Los Angeles, expires today at 5 p.m., and acceptance remains a long shot, sources said. Consideration of the bid by a special committee of Tribune directors has been complicated by the family's agitation for bold steps to boost the company's sagging stock price, public criticism of management and a low offering price, said the sources familiar with the process.
Will New York Mag Move Downtown When Lease Is Up? (WWD)
It appears a move to SoHo could be in the magazine's future, more specifically, to 180 Varick Street. The move could be prompted by the fact that the magazine's rent would double if a new contract were signed at its current location, according to a source.
