Vogue Takes Flak for LeBron James Cover (WWD)
Vogue is getting lots of buzz for its decision to put NBA star LeBron James on the cover of its April Shape issue but perhaps not the kind it was hoping for. The image, with James holding Gisele Bundchen by the waist, has been compared by some to King Kong sweeping away a helpless white damsel in distress and triggered debate on The Today Show on Wednesday as to whether it is offensive. NYT: Vogue criticized for asking sisters to diet for a feature.

If one of them gets a share or all of Newsday, my money is on either Murdoch or Zuckerman, with a nod to the former. Dolan? Forget it: The newspaper biz doesn't need another amateur.
NBC Prez Mocks Writers, Strike In Upcoming My Name Is Earl Commercial (HuffPo)
Jeff Zucker, president and CEO of NBC Universal, will appear in a commercial to run before the April 3 return of NBC's My Name is Earl. In the commercial, Zucker appears to mock both the writers and the strike that sidelined Hollywood for months.
Page Six Lifts Axl Rose Lede From Press Release (Gawker)
Here's the lead to Page Six's item today about Dr. Pepper's Guns N' Roses PR stunt: "Tired of a world in which Americans idolize wannabe singers, and where musicals about high school students pass as rock 'n' roll, Dr Pepper is begging Axl Rose to finally release this year his 17-years-in-the-making album, "Chinese Democracy." Such powerful language! And so similar to the language in a press release.
