Viacom Pulls Clip It Doesn't Necessarily Own (NewTeeVee)
Christopher Knight produced some humorously campy commercials for a local political campaign, and posted them to YouTube. Then he saw his commercials appear in VH1's Web Junk without being contacted. When he then put up the clip of the show featuring his commercial, Viacom issued a DMCA takedown request, which YouTube promptly complied with.
CNN Ditches Reuters (Guardian)
CNN has dropped Reuters as one of its key news agencies after deciding to instead make "significant investments" in its own newsgathering operation. CNN's international channels managing director Tony Maddox told staff in an email that the news broadcaster would not be renewing its contract with Reuters after it ends tomorrow and would focus more on its own content.

Barnes & Noble has confirmed that it is reversing its decision to keep the book off its shelves. "We've been monitoring the pre-orders and customer requests and have concluded that enough customers have expressed interest in buying the book to warrant stocking it in our stores," said spokeswoman Mary Ellen Keating in a statement documenting the policy change.

Imagine the The Daily Show's straight-faced shtick with Superbad's raunchiness. It's a brand that fits perfectly online, but could end up on mainstream media.
Keith Richards Demands Satisfaction After Swedish Critic Pans His Performance (Independent)
What is causing Richards such indigestion are notices in the two Swedish tabloids, Expressen and Aftonbladet, that singled him out for particular criticism in their appraisals of the Stones' efforts at the Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg with one claiming the guitar legend appeared "superdrunk" on stage.
Thailand lifts YouTube ban (FT)
