Huffington describes the site as a vehicle for political satire with a quicker response time than Saturday Night Live or even the Daily Show.
Washingtonpost.com Wins National Emmy (WaPo)
Washingtonpost.com won its first national Emmy award Monday night for its video coverage of Hurricane Katrina. The award was accepted by Travis Fox, senior video journalist at the Arlington, Va.-based Web site, who explored issues including life in flooded New Orleans and the return of residents to Jefferson Parish.
