U.S. Military Inadvertently Recruits on Gay Web Site (USAT)
The Army, Navy and Air Force unwittingly advertised for recruits on a Web site for gays, who are barred from military service if they are open about their sexual orientation. When informed Tuesday that they were advertising on GLEE.com, a networking Web site for gay professionals, recruiters expressed surprise and said they would remove the job listings.
Apatow Joins 'Funny or Die' as Partner (Hollywood Reporter)
Fresh off his hit summer films Superbad and Knocked Up, Apatow will join Will Ferrell and Adam McKay as a contributor and investor to the Web site. The trio is at work on Sony's Step Brothers. FunnyOrDie.com has worked with Apatow onscreen; he played himself in clips purporting to feature behind-the-scenes conflicts on the set of Knocked Up, in which Apatow berates a series of uncooperative actors.

The CW has logged off Online Nation. The low-rated show, which featured clips from the Internet, has been permanently killed by the net, which will air repeats of Aliens in America in the 7:30 p.m. slot starting Sunday. The nixing of Online Nation marks the season's first no-caveat-attached cancellation.
