Dan Rather's Emmy Nets $2,500 on EBay (NYP)
Selling old Emmy awards is frowned upon by the industry and the sale of awards bestowed after 1977 is banned, according to the regulations of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organization that gives them out. Rather says he wasn't the one who put the trophy on the auction block.

Rachel Sklar: On Oct. 21, 2007, Newsweek came out with a cover story asserting that Pakistan was the most dangerous country in the world, topping both Iraq and Afghanistan — the result of a two-month old investigative story. Far be it for Newsweek to say "I told you so," but let the record reflect that roughly two and a half months ago, it did. HuffPo: New Giuliani ad may benefit from Bhutto's assassination.
