Lisa Davis has been named deputy executive editor of Prevention magazine. She worked at Health magazine for 18 years, most recently as deputy editor. (release)

Rick Pascocello has been promoted to marketing director for Penguin imprints Berkley/NAL and Riverhead Trade paperbacks. He was previously vp of advertising and promotion for Berkley/NAL. (Pub. Lunch)

Patrick Nolan has been named marketing director of Penguin imprints Perigee/HP, PHP, Portfolio and Sentinel. He retains his current role as director of trade paperback sales. (Pub. Lunch)

Craig Burke has been promoted to vp of publicity for several Penguin imprints: Berkley Publishing Group, NAL, Perigee/HPBooks, and Riverhead Trade Paperbacks. He was previously publicity director for these imprints. (Pub. Lunch)

Ben Sarmiento has been appointed west coast advertising sales account manager for Smithsonian Group Publishing. He was previously a planning supervisor at MindShare. (release)

Bob Sauerberg has been named executive vice president, consumer marketing, of Condé Nast Publications. He was previously COO of Fairchild Publications. (release)

Debi Chirichella has been named CFO of Condé Nast Publications. She was previously a senior vice president, finance, at Condé Nast. (release)

Mitch Fox has been named president of the Golf Digest division of Condé Nast Publications. (release)

Mary Berner has been named president of the new Fairchild Publications division of Condé Nast Publications. (release)

Thomas Ott has been named president and publisher of Smithsonian Group Publishing. He served briefly as general manager and group publisher of Reader's Digest Association's home and garden group and, prior to that, spent 16 years at Time Inc. (release)

Ivan J. Sheehan has been named assistant editor at Northern Ohio Live. He has been an intern there since November 2004. (mb)
