Jorge Morales has been named senior editor, theater/Obies for the Village Voice. He was previously the newspaper's copy chief. (mb)

Charles McNulty has been named chief theater critic for the Los Angeles Times. He was previously the senior theater editor of the Village Voice. (mb)

Mike Lafavore has been named editorial director for Meredith Magazines, a new position. Most recently, Lafabore has run his own consulting business, but was previously the editor-in-chief of TV Guide and the founding editor-in-chief of Men's Health. (release)

Sean McManus has been named president of CBS News. He is currently the president of CBS Sports. (CBS News)

Andrew Heyward has resigned as president of CBS News. He will depart at the end of the year when his contract expires. (CBS News)

Ivette Smith's position as assitant account executive at Cossette Post has been eliminated. (mb)

Nina Ippolito has been named copy editor for Seed. She was previously a development associate at DOROT Inc. and a contributing writer for New York Press. (release)

Paul Tullis has been named a senior editor at Seed. He was a founding editor of Might magazine and a producer of the NPR program To The Point. (release)

Belinda Lanks has been named managing editor of Metropolis magazine. She was previously the deputy night editor of the New York Sun. (mb)
