Ann Powell has been named managing editor of Weekend. She was previously the managing editor of Organic Style. (release)
Farah Ameen has been named copy chief of Weekend. She held similar positions at Lifetime and Seventeen. (release)
Carol Kramer has been named executive editor of Weekend. She has held similar positions at Lifetime, Rosie, and Real Simple magazines. (release)
Laura Harrigan joins Weekend as creative director. She was art director at Garnet Hill for seven years. (release)
John Courtney has been promoted to assistant account executive at Ruder Finn. He has been an executive trainee there since June 2005. (mb)

Eric Grode has been named head theater critic at the The New York Sun. He had been head critic at Broadway.com since since May 2004. Prior to that, he was deputy copy chief and then copy chief of TV Guide. (mb)
Gersh Kuntzman is the new editor-in-chief of The Brooklyn Papers, a chain of community weeklies. He has been a reporter and columnist with the New York Post since 1993.(mb)
