President Bush’s first of four Press Secretaries Ari Fleischer was in full Legacy Tour mode on Hardball with Chris Matthews last night, who when pressed on the failure of the economy, fell on his heals and took the “we didn’t get hit again” tack to defend his former boss’s record.

“How dare you,” “How disingenuous are you?” and “Shame on you,” were Fleischer’s retorts when pushed on the reasons for starting the Iraq war and the threat of terrorism.

File this one away archives of the bizarre and poorly-timed spins in cable history.
