Biro On Leaving MTV for Allison & Partners: “This Is My Choice”

Allison & Partners announced the opening of their Seattle office this week, which will be led by Tom Biro, who is leaving his gig as senior director of communications at MTV. “This is my choice. As far as I understand they [MTV] are filling my position,” Biro told PRNewser.

“Some of it is about planting a new seed,” he said. Biro currently lives in NJ and will be making the cross country move. “It’s like any other market. There are going to be agencies that have certain interests. Just having spent a decent amount of time [in Seattle] I know there continues to be a ton of start-up business out there.”

Allison & Partners is “pretty across the board,” when it comes to areas of specialty said Biro. “They are a full service agency, with work in healthcare and public affairs, charitable arms of big corporations. They have Best Western and [social networking site] Ning, for example. I’ll be working on a lot of West Coast stuff given that they have significant presence there,” he said. Prior to MTV, Biro led the digital practice at IPG’s MWW Group.
