Burson-Marsteller announced over the weekend that Bob Pickard will join the firm as CEO of the Asia-Pacific division, reporting directly to global CEO Mark Penn. He was President of Edelman North Asia, in charge of Korea and Japan.
Beginning February 1, Pickard will lead BM’s 19-office, 500+ employee operation spread over seven countries, as well as its 11 smaller affiliate offices spread across eight countries in the region.
Pickard replaces Simon Pangrazio, a 14-year veteran of Burson. According to LinkedIn, he held leadership titles in BM’s Melbourne, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing and Hong Kong offices, and became CEO two years ago.
