Cision to Add Twitter Handles in Q2
Heidi Sullivan, director of media research and blogger from Cision tells us the PR sofware and database company will be adding a field for Twitter handles by the end of the second quarter of this year. We’re pretty sure they’re the only database company planning to do so.
We also checked with competitor Vocus. They’re leaving it to the comments field: “As far as adding twitter into the database, the research team adds in the preferred contacts for the reporter so it is really up to each reporter.”
While not Earth shattering news, perhaps this is proof of concept for the use of the micro blogging service for understanding and communicating with journalists. Or perhaps it’s a sign the hungry shark is in the pen, ready to be jumped.
