Company Tries Out Oil-Spill Related Pitch, Fails

YlangYlangExtra.jpg

Here is a pitch via freelance writers Doree Shafrir that tries to tie a client into the Gulf Coast oil spill news-cycle:

With the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf this summer, oil has been getting a terrible reputation – but what about oil for your skin? I’m sure you’re working on summer skin care stories, and so I wanted to let you know about the hottest and newest “it” ingredient Ylang Ylang which helps to regulate and treat oily skin that is so prevalent in the warm summer months.

A quick news search for “ylang ylang” doesn’t bring up many recent results. Also, as PRNewser has noted before, there are just some news stories, and some clients, that you shouldn’t try and force together. This seems to be one of them.
