PRNewser Turns One: Pics Coming Soon
Thanks to everyone who came out to join us in celebration of PRNewser's one year anniversary last night at Libation in NYC. We'll have a full photo recap up shortly. Another big thanks goes out to the mediabistro events department for all their help in making this happen. And of course, our fearless leaders Laurel Touby, Chris Ariens, Rebecca Fox and everyone else at mediabistro for supporting PRNewser from the start. It was a packed house, for sure. We talked about "internet over sharing" with PRWeek EIC Keith O'Brien, and connected Gawker's Hamilton Nolan with his former co-worker PRWeek reporter Tonya Garcia. PR pro and Women Making Moves blogger Tiffany Winbush was making the rounds early, and tells us she "ran into a lot of good peeps." Converseon's Paull Young stopped by early as well and commented on the attractive female PR pros in attendance, before leaving for his rugby game. Priorities, Paull! Rob Manfredo, Account Director at KCSA was with a crew of current and past Horn Group employees, including Assistant Account Executive Emily Bennett, Senior Developer Daniel Geske, Jason Davis of Weber Shandwick and Mike Moloksher of MTV. Katie Retelle of CommCore consulting was seen chatting it up on the upper level during Jason and I's mini-speech. As was the omni-present Matthew Caldecutt of Trylon SMR. Yes, we kept the speech short to keep the party going. There were even some advertising people there as we ran into DRAFTFCB Corporate Communications Associate Soraya Eltomey, where we reviewed our best practices for mingling at social events. First step: don't be afraid - talk to everyone! Elizabeth Trasher and Marc Broidyl, Principal's at TheWebisodes.com, talked to us about their new video site, saying "they want to get in with bloggers." Well, they were in the right spot. And of course, lovable MediaPost reporter Kelly Samardak was there with her trusty +1 Gail Hilton to document the event as well. Kelly's recap to come soon. There are many we may be forgetting here. If so, we're sorry! Leave your info in the comments or email us. Email This Post |
