Former NBC Anchor John Seigenthaler Joins Family’s PR Firm

You may remember John Seigenthaler from his days as anchor of “NBC Nightly News Weekend Edition,” as well as special correspondent for NBC News and anchor of MSNBC.

Now, he’s leaving the media world to enter the PR world, and it turns out he will know quite a few of his co-workers.

Seigenthaler is joining his family’s PR firm, Nashville-based Seigenthaler Public Relations Inc. as partner and CEO of their New York operations. The firm was started by his late uncle, Tom, in 1972. His cousin, Beth Seigenthaler Courtney, serves as chairman and CEO.

Seigenthaler told the Tennessean, “While I will be headquartered in New York, the opportunity to work with our clients in Nashville and to see more of my parents and friends back home in the city I love has made this SPR partnership all the more attractive.”
