How Not to Promote Your Book, Unless You’re Keith Richards

Keith Richards, who has been promoting his new memoir Life, hit a reporter in the head while he was being interviewed.

The incident happened about 10 minutes into a discussion with Markus Larsson, a reporter with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladets. According to Larsson, “He stood up and asked if we would put out the lights and settle the disagreement straight away.”

PopEater says the disagreement stemmed from a three-year-old grudge over a bad review Larsson wrote about a Rolling Stones concert. Richards asked for an apology and Larsson refused. Maybe Richards wrote the book just for the face-to-face opportunity?
