Kelly Cutrone: Fashion Publicity Like ‘Working In Emergency Room’


With this release, the title certainly sets the stage. In her first book, “If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You,” fashion publicist turned reality TV star Kelly Cutrone delivers what she is known for: no BS commentary.

On getting fired by designer Yigal Azrouel after bringing Eliot Spitzer call girl Ashley Dupre to his Fashion Week show:

Could it really be that, in 2009, the fashion industry – which creates images of girls who look like they’ve been gangbanged on Alice in Wonderland adventures and calls them ad campaigns – was turning on me because I gave a front-row seat at Fashion Week to some girl who, like many of the women who attend fashion shows…had sex for money with a man thirty years older than her?
