McDonald’s Hires Social Media Chief From Its Agency, GolinHarris

McDonald’s has named its first ever director-social media, Rick Wion.
Wion comes to McDonald’s after working with the brand for several years while at its longtime PR agency of record GolinHarris, where he served as Vice President of Interactive Media.
One of Wion’s first tasks is to step up outreach efforts to “mommy bloggers,” AdAge reports.
